I feel blessed and Honored to have the great work of Janneke and today she has made for us this gooorgeous card.

Although it is spring we are still getting a mix of weather.here in Ontario we are getting snow on Sunday.

So here is a Christmas Sweetie by CCDesigns.

Now today i am show casing a card that with a stamp i sell in the store it is called "Bunny Tilda from last year's Magnolia Collection.

I used 110 Lb copic paper and memento ink to ink this baby up .Then i pulled out my prisma pencilcrayons,OMSpirit,and a blending to stump to color this sweetie up.The pattern paper is by October afternoon,and i used my spellbinders Egg Shapeabilities as the die.I love my nesties as a matter of fact i love all Dies!!

Another February Generous Love

Today i show you another new Sweetie.

In life we are expected to be "Generous Givers" something that may come to us naturally or not at all.

My son is special need and in his class there are many children to do not enable him but at such a tender age are generous with their help with my son....one little girl in particular is always thoughtful in her intentions overall with each person that comes across her path so for the month of February i introduce our Tutu--"Generous Giver". This card was made by our GDT member Suzi McKenzie AKA Mrs Weyremaster .

She is perfect and Suzi's card is gorgeous.

And Mine .I made this card 2 weeks ago.A customer came in and bought for his girlfriend for their two year anniversary. He actually wanted me to remake it but add something to it .He told me he loved her so much and not only was it his anniversary but it was also Valentines Day coming up. He was going to give her a promise ring. He was so excited. So here is the original card.

I stamped this cutie up and used my odourless mineral spirits , prisma pencil crayons , and blending stump to color up these sweethearts. I am so lucky to have such a talented artist and i could not leave these images without mentioning what an amazing artist Victoria Case is.

NEW GDT Member for February!!

Introducing a new GDT member for the month of February.

"My name is Suzi McKenzie AKA Mrs Weyremaster, I live in Aberdeen, Scotland with my hubby Stewart and our 3 Cats. I no longer work due to ill health (fibromyalgia, etc) so crafting and blogging is what i do to keep sane.

I have worked for the following companies, The Greeting Farm ( Guest DT for Club Anya Winter 2009), Pixie Dust Studio (April 2010 - Dec 2010), StampInsanity (March 2010 - Dec 2010), Raise the Bar Challenge Blog, Oh Alice Challenge Blog, The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge Blog (ongoing), Simply Betty Challenges (ongoing). I've just started work for The Stamping Boutique. As you can see, I have been lucky enough to work on some wonderful Design Teams, and having finished a couple of DT terms recently am looking for a new challenge. That's why I decided to create the Desert Islands Crafters Challenge.

I love colouring in especially with my Promarkers, and Coloured Pencils. I like to tell a story with my cards if possibly, always focusing on the image, or images I am showcasing.

Today's Challenge is Using Dies~!!

I love all the different company of dies---One of my favourites is MFT Die-Namics.Which i have carried in the store since December and they were greeted with much excitement. Where as Nesties have more than one die and one size these are one die and one size.

So here is My card using the Banner Die-Namic

I used this cute Stampavie Sweeties with the thought of Love in mine and since i love all these things Stampavie,Die-Namics,and Nestabillities which i LOOOOOVE too much.

Also introducing Melanie Holtz's Magnolia Sweetie. Mel used the Magnolia "Ballerina Tilda"

Favorite Victoria case Sweeties of 2010 and New DT for 2011!!

So we all took a Much needed Hiatus but really want to show you all our favourites for 2010!!

So here are my creations and they are donewcolor pencil crayons and the odourless mineral spirits.

The first one is made specifically for the Lambton Youth Choir.This group of girls sing all over North America and the ladies who teach give up their own personal time. So the cards i have made 100% of the proceeds are donated to them.

The Next "Favorite" also done by me is the Christmas Angel.

The next "Favorite" is made by Dawn whose 6 months is up and that we sadly say good bye to. It's called "Made with Love"

The colors are so warm what a beautiful card and to be honest not to be byast but all the card's are gorgeous.

Well everyone i am sure everyone here would like to wish everyone a Wonderful ,Blessed,Happy & Safe New Year.

I want to take this time to reflect on 2010 and there is much to be thankful for.

I want to say thanks to an amazing DT, you worked hard and you all became family to me.I look forward to what 2011 will bring!!

Thank you to Victoria Case, the artist behind the cute images and to my customers who have followed us through from beginning to the end of 2010.I am looking forward to 2011!!

Just recently within my own family we have experienced some changes that will come to a head starting Jan 4th, 2011, and because of this i will be posting an online store and the link will soon be here for you.

Our blog posts may end up being fewer in the week but stay tuned as i make this decision with prayer first.

I am mostly grateful for a Lord who died for Me/All!! I am sure 2011, with all my changes, will move forward with only a Great God at our side.

I have loved the launch of The Victoria Case Stamps And on Jan 7th we will be launching the "Favourite Victoria Case Images of 2010" so stay tuned.

I thank my followers for being loyal and wonderful customers this blog moves forward with you all at our side.

Last up, we have Dawn! She has given us this amazing creation using the Victoria Case image called Lola Made With Love! That textured cardstock is so yummy, and the sponging is so great!

Showcase Monday And Learning To Let Go

Hi everyone, Danielle a.k.a. FitterTwit here with another Showcase Monday. Our Showcase Mondays feature stamps that you can find at The Town Scrapper. Ann kicks us off with this incredibly gorgeous Christmas card featuring Magnolia's Silent Night Tilda. I love everything about his card... the coloring, the color combos, the sketch, even the papers. Great job Ann!

Next up is Robin's offering. Simple, bold and cuter than all-get-out, Robin's card features a Wild Sprout from The Greeting Farm. Robin did an excellent job coloring this cutie pie and the framework makes this project pop!

And finally, in my attempt to cling to the Halloween holiday gone by, here is my FINAL Halloween card featuring C.C. Designs Halloween Birgitta. I so love the Halloween season and am trying to come to grips that Halloween is over. I'm learning to let go.... slowly, hahahahaha! I chose to make my project monochromatic, so don't adjust your screens! ;)

Hey there crafters!

Well, TGIF! I am sooo happy it's Friday, and as usual we have another challenge to bring you! This should be an easy one - we want you to make a creation with buttons!

Our Scrapettes have lots of inspiration for you, and they had a blast playing! Let's see what we've got:

First up is Dawn! She has made SUCH a cute creation using Keeping The Peace Evan by Victoria Case! This little guy is just too adorable! I love that orange colour, and the stitching is fabulous! And that ripped piece really adds some extra interest!

Next up, we have the ever fun Danielle! She made the most adorable scrapbook page using Made With Love Lola! I love the fun colours and papers, and that title is so perfect!

And next, the AMAZING Melanie has made an adorable trio set of note cards using this Jack-O-Lanterns image! As usual, her colouring ROCKS - it makes the pumpkins look so spooky!

We also had an extra entry this week from our fearless leader Phebe! She has also picked Keeping The Peace Evan, and made a cute card with her buttons! I love the glossy accents on the fish bowl!

And last, but not least, we have Kelly! She has used this extra cute Snow Much Fun image, and made a fun and wintery card! I absolutely LOVE the colours - the greens and blues and purples are so eye-catching! And fabulous glitter!

It's Monday Showcase Time!

Hey there crafty friends!

It's Robin here, and I thought I would take some time to show you a card I made with a great Kraftin' Kimmie stamp! It is Showcase Monday, so I have chosen to show you the image called Yvette (and her sentiment)! For our challenges on Fridays, we use images by Victoria Case, but for Mondays, we can choose any brand that Phebe sells!

Here is my card:

I chose to keep the card simple, because the image is really big and fun, and it pretty much fills up the whole card!

Yvette was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured in with Copics, and I added some shading with my Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol/OMS. I pretty much just used the large white panel with a black mat, and my card base is Kraft cardstock.

And finally, we have Robin, who did an AMAZING job with this Beary Sweet image from Victoria Case - she took the color scheme from the photo, and even incorporated the stacked colored pillows onto the side of her card! Very crisp!

OMGosh gang... It's Danielle here with a great Showcase Monday!!! Every Monday we showcase various stamps that Phebe carries at The Town Scrapper and THIS time our design team pulled all the stops!

First off we have Dawn's cuter than cute Bye Bye by Mo Manning! What an incredible job she did with coloring this cutiepie! And that whimsical stitching does everything for this project!

Next we have Ann's super cheerful Cheer Anya from The Greeting Farm! The stitching and the blingy pearls are the perfect accents on this gorgeous card! That color combo is absolutely wonderful!

Tricia's botanical beauty makes me wish we were heading into spring instead of winter! ;) Here Tricia featured TWO stamps: Orange Plant by Whiff of Joy and the sentiment "Heartfelt Gratitude" by My Favorite Things.

Dawn was first on the list to show everyone how she worked her sketch! She used Big Dreams Evan by Victoria Case on her card. It looks so chique and modern with the black cardstock and the patterned papers! Love it.

Next up, we have Ann! She made a girly card using Sophie With Daffodil by Victoria Case! The patterned papers are sooooo sweet, and I LOVE what she did with her sentiment!

Last up, we have my fellow blog manager, Danielle! Just in time for Hallowe'en, she used Magical Sophie by Victoria Case. I love the newsprint pattern behind Sophie, and she has such lovely colouring!

Hello again fellow crafters!

Happy Monday! So, we are here to present you with another Monday showcase at The Town Scrapper! I always get so excited when I can play along with a Monday Showcase, because I get to go through a whole whack of my stamps and decide which ones I get to play with! Hmmmm, what shall it be? Magnolia? Greeting Farm? Kraftin' Kimmie? Mo Manning?

Well, let's see what the Scrapettes have to show you!

First up, we have Melanie! She has used her amazing colouring skills to bring us a project using a C.C Designs image called Swiss Pixie Heidi. I love how she has the little pixie sitting kind of outside the box, and the patterned papers are so pretty!

Next, let's look at Kelly's card! She has used Oliver by Kraftin' Kimmie. Can you feel the winter season approaching? I love the embossing, and the additional ice and the sparkly hat!

Next up, Shelly is bringing us a C.C. Designs image called Rosalie! I love the colours she used - the red hair and the green outfit are an Irish girl's dream! That bow is juicy too!

Last up, I (Robin) chose to play with The Greeting Farm images! I picked a stamp that I hadn't inked yet called Cheeky Glamour. She's so Marilyn, isn't she? Such a girly image, and so fun to colour!

Hi everyone!

I hope you had an amazing weekend, and we are so excited for another Monday Showcase! Before we go on, I would like to remind you that we still have this week's challenge going on HERE: to make a Hallowe'en project! You still have until Thursday night to play along!

As with every Monday, today we get to show you projects that we made using images from different stamp companies that Phebe sells at The Town Scrapper! So, it is a small post this week, but here are the projects our awesome Scrapettes have turned out!

Lisa chose this adorable Magnolia image called Witch Tilda. I love how she did the sentiment - it just pops out! The candy corn paper and the spider web embossing are perfect! It seems she was in a spooky mood!

Next up, we have the amazing Kelly! She has used some fabulous C.C. Designs images, and made a fall card! She used Swiss Field Fence, and Swiss Butterfly Nora, and those patterned papers are delicious! I love what she did with the grass punch too!

And finally we have fellow blog manager Danielle with her ghoulish "Hey Girlfriend"! She used The Greeting Farm's Ebony, so spooky... is she in a graveyard???

Lisa used our prize to make this amazing card. I just love how the designer paper is used for Sophie's dress! I'm SO in the Halloween spirit!!!

Kelly used our Magical Sophie for this spooktacular Trick or Treat card! This is a culmination of all my favorite colors... this card is PERFECTION!!!!

And Dawn chimes in with this super cute Magical Sophie bookmark. And, of course, she staged it perfectly on a book. The coloring is WONDERFUL on this Dawn! I love it!!!

A New Week, A New Attitude And A Sad Farewell

Wow... after the weekend's super craziness, here we are to a Monday Showcase again at The Town Scrapper and we're ready to roar! Before we get into all the crafty goodness, I'd like to take a moment to say farewell to our friend and design team coordinator Kim. Beyond talented, Kim, you have been a rock to this design team and you will be missed. Kim promises to drop by on future challenges, and when we least expect her. I know I can speak for us all when I say, we all look forward to it. Lisa presents this BEYOND-adorable Lillith by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! Great color combo here Lisa, this is the perfect card for any little girl.

Dawn brings us another C.C. Designs stamp, Umbrella Emma. Awesome job on this one Dawn! The bright and cheery card is sure to help anyone on their way to recovery!

And finally, here's my project. I'm featuring a scrapbook layout that I did for a friend of mine. It was fun creating it and it seems that I was reading Shelly's mind while making it. I, too, used C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies Ladybug Nora for this. Here's a close up of her.

We're In Stitches!

Hey there crafty town!

So sorry we are a day late in posting our "Friday" challenge! Hope you weren't in suspense for too long! LOL. We are so happy to be back from our hiatus, and we have another awesome challenge for you! But first, we have to choose a winner from last week.

Hey there fellow crafters!

We are back with another fun reason to celebrate Monday! When we do a Monday showcase, our participating DT members get to show off the fun brands that Phebe sells in her store! So, let's get started!

First off, we have Maria - she has given us the ever adorable Bunny Tilda by Magnolia! Don't you just love the papers she used? And the embellishments are completely awesome!

Next up, we have the amazing Dawn. She has given us a glimpse of Nurse Nora by CC Designs - I love the monochromatic feel of this project, and the little dragonflies are so cute!

I (Robin) also entered a card in this week. I am using Fleur Anya from one of my fave companies, The Greeting Farm! I had a blast colouring her in, and I made it extra girly and pink!

Now, using Genevieve with Steampunk sentiments from another of my fave companies, Kraftin' Kimmie, we have Ann! I love the blues and greens she used, and that little map adds the perfect touch!

Last, but not least, we have a fun entry from Kelly! She has decided to show us a really fun project using Magical Sophie by Victoria Case! I adore the patterned papers, and the ribbons she used on her card! The colours are so eye-catching!

We're Ba-ack!

Are you ready to rock!?! We're back from our short hiatus and we are ready to rock and roll!!! I've been itching for a good challenge and this first Friday challenge post DID NOT disappoint! This first challenge of the season is to make an original creation using the recipe as follows:

1 cardstock color
2 patterned paper
3 types of embellishments
1 stamped image
2 ribbons

Be sure to upload your creation to the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post by Thursday, September 16th at 9 PM. And for some ROCKIN inspiration, let's check out what our wonderfully rested design team created!

Tricia really turned up the volume on this Rock Star Zeke by Victoria Case! The eyelets for the "O's" is just the most excellent touch!

And as if Tricia and Melanie planned this, Melanie followed with her own rockin riff. Rock Star Lola is colored PERFECTLY and shines up against the music sheet background. Yah, that rocks!

Maria scores with Hockey Evan by Victoria Case.... GOAL!

Shelly's incredible card reminds me that Halloween is right around the corner and I'm suddenly giddy with excitement. This little Magical Sophie by Victoria Case is the perfect image to get you thinking about the upcoming festivities. I just LOVE this color combo!

And fellow blog manager and design team member, Robin, also chimes in with Magical Sophie with a more "princess" feel and again we see the versatility of these wonderful Victoria Case images!

Not to be outdone, Dawn adds a little bit of flavor with this adorable Made With Love Lola by Victoria Case.

You might want to brace your self for this post - we are hitting you with everything we've got!!! The Town Scrapper and its Scrapettes are going on a summer hiatus from now, until September 10. So, that means that this is our last summer post! It is filled to the brim with good stuff! We are so happy to have our followers, yes YOU! And we are so grateful for everyone else that stops by to read our posts, or to participate in challenges! THANK YOU!
All the scrapettes have chipped in projects, and you will be in awe! Also, some of the Scrapettes are offering blog cand, so you may want to stop by each blog and see who's giving away goodies!

The next Scrapette in the spotlight is Danielle! She has made an amazing decoration for her plant using Sophie With Daffodil by Victoria Case. I LOVE that yellow! It's so happy and fun.

She has also made us a card for that coffee or tea-lover in your life. She has used the My Favorite Things image called Coffee? Tea? Just perfect for a friend, wouldn't you say?

Our next Scrapette is Shelly! She has made us a beautiful and eye-catching card with Heidi Among the Flowers by C.C. Designs! The rainbow colours are amazing, and I love her sentiment!

Next, we have Lisa! She has a really creative card here in the shape of a star! I love what she has done with Magical Sophie by Victoria Case, and her papers are awesome too!

And now, the talented Maria is giving us a bright and cheerful card using Tilda With Spoon from Magnolia! Her colouring is so fabulous, and the papers and embellishments are to-die-for!

Tricia has given us a really fun and warm card using Flower Power Camper Van by Stampavie! Don't you just love all the colours on the van, and thos adorable buttons???

Hmmm, I wonder when we'll get some Kraftin' Kimmie?? How about now?!? These are some of my all-time favourite images, and Dawn has done a great job showcasing Lavinia from Kraftin' Kimmie! Fabulous colouring, and great papers!

She has also given us a glimpse into her C.C. Designs collection by using the adorable Spring Emma image! I love that sentiment, and the tiny crocheted heart!!! And who doesn't love a crazy gal with purple hair?

Our master colouring Scrapette Melanie has decided to showcase Rock Star Zeke by Victoria Case! Not only is her colouring phenomenal, but she found the most perfect papers to use! What an amazing guy card!

Our next Scrapette that's showing us what she's got is Kelly! She is using this adorable C.C. Designs image called Cherry Emma, and Whimsical Mushroom from Make It Crafty! Her cherry shirt is soooo cute, and she found the perfect papers to go along with it!

And last, but not least, here is mine (Robin)! I used an awesome Kraftin' Kimmie image called Posy, and she is toooo cute! I combined her with some fun cherry patterned papers!

Hey crafty friends!

Friday Challenge - Monochrome

Most importantly, let me say, "TGIF"! Happy Friday, and I'm sure we are all looking forward to the weekend! Well, we had an awesome challenge last Friday, which was to make a Tent Card! We had some really adorable entries, and our winner is....drumroll pleeeease...

Well, on to new things! This week, we have challenged you and the Scrapettes to a monochromatic project (using 1 colour)! Here are the projects for the Scrapettes who played along!!!

Here is Dawn's bright and cheerful card using Sophie With Daffodil by Victoria Case! I love the limey colour - instant smile, don't you think? The yellow-green is so eye-catching, and great embossing too!

Next, we have a fabulously masculine card by Ann! She has used the charming Zeke the Rock Star by Victoria Case! Love that funky paper, and the adorable sentiment!

Next, we have Shelly with some lovely and calming yellows! She used Beary Sweet by Victoria Case - I ADORE the ribbon and that little flower embellishment!

Next, we have a darling lovey-dovey card by Kelly! She has used Made With Love Lola by Victoria Case to finish off her steamy red card! Those little hearts are too cute!

Lastly, we have my (Robin's) creation...I played it very safe and chose brown. I made a cute little boy card using Big Dreams Evan by Victoria Case. I chose some fun patterned papers too!

Monday Showcase!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to another fun and exciting Monday showcase! I tell ya, this is definitely a reason to love Mondays! Every Monday, the Scrapettes get to choose a yummy image to show you, as we showcase some of our favourite products that Phebe sells at The Town Scrapper! Let's get this party started!

First off, we have the always fun and enthusiastic Danielle! She has made a completely adorable card using Ebony from The Greeting Farm. Don't you just love all that yummy stitching??? That is one cool chick!

Next, the colouring master Melanie has featured a lovely image from Mo Manning called Jack and Ginger. I love the layout she used and those beautiful die cuts! She always rawks it!

Next up, we have Lisa, using an adorable image from Kraftin' Kimmie called Maxwell - he is the cutest camping mouse I have ever seen! Those buttons add such a fun and whimsical feel to the card!

Next up, is our fearless leader Phebe! She has decided to show us this awesome birthday card using a Whiff of Joy stamp called Birthday Bruno the Bear. I am loving that Nestabilities panel, and the flower embellishments are too cute!

Now, we have a really angelic creation from Donna! She has used a C.C. Designs image called Heidi. The glitter on the wings is so pretty, and I LOVE the papers she used! Plaid is always so striking, and the gold trim is beautiful!

And last, but not least, we have a really bright and fun card from Tricia! She has given us a glimpse of a C.C. Designs stamp as well - this one is Kiki LaRue Cupcake! I love the way she used the Nesties to make a frame, and the colours are so cheerful!

Super Fun Friday

Wow! Was last week's red and white challenge fun or what!?! We got some really great entries! Thanx to everyone who played along with us! The random winner of the red and white challenge was Maria Matter.... CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now I won't waste any time getting into this upcoming week's challenge!!! This one was particularly fun for me (as you will see). This week's challenge is doing a tent card! Create a new and original tent card and be sure to link back to The Town Scrapper in your post. Then link up your entry to the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post... that's it! We have a tent card tutorial that was posted on our blog Wednesday for those who haven't ever done a tent card so that EVERYONE can participate... be sure to check that out. And in the meantime, our wonderful design team put together some AWESOMELY fun samples featuring our beloved Victoria Case Designs.

I'll start us off with Melanie's gorgeous design. Melanie featured Victoria Case's Lela stamp on a wonderful striped back drop. I LOVE the color combo here Melanie! Great job! This is just a great card that can be used for ANY occasion! I'm lovin the dangling stamped image!
Next we'll follow up with Shelly's BEYOND adorable creation featuring Victoria Case's Sophies Garden. This card just POPS out at you.... great use of dimensionals Shelly! This is a card that will brighten anyone's day!

Next up is Dawn's beauty featuring Victoria Case's Beary Sweet Sophie with Bear. Again... WONDERFUL color combination! The turquois and brown is so fetching!

Kelly also used the Beary Sweet Sophie as a dangle image for this super cute card. I really do love the dangles in the center of the tent cards, don't you?

Shown here is the tent card that Maria did for Wednesday's tent card tutorial. She used Victoria Case's Magical Sophie as a dangle for her tent card as well. I'm all about the "girly" and this one is PERFECTLY girly!!!

My fellow Blog Manager Robin designed this adorable card using Sophie With Daffodil suspended among some lovely flowery papers! She looks almost real like she's going to step right off the card... AWESOME coloring Robin!!! Again, I adore the muted tones!

And finally.... my tent card. I took pics from the side as well as a close up. Have you heard of Christmas in July? Well, I couldn't resist Halloween in July! This little Victoria Case Magical Sophie kind of took me there as I was coloring her. She ended up being truly magical! I'm a bit of a Halloween freak anyway! LOL!

But it's nice to see how versatile this particular stamp is!

Tent Card Tutorial

Happy Hump Day fellow crafters and welcome to another featured tutorial at The Town Scrapper. Today Scrapette Maria brings us a tutorial on how to make a tent card with a dangling image. It's so much fun and super fast plus easy to make so join in and have some fun along with us.

Step 1: Cut 3 pieces of cardstock: 2 pieces into 6" x 6" and 1 piece into 2" x 5.5". These will form the front and back of your card. Then cut 2 pieces of Designer Paper into 5.75" x 5.75" (oops, I ended up using one DP for the inside of the card and then a different DP for the outside of the card).

Step 2: To create the bottom of the card, score the 2" x 5'5" piece of cardstock every 1/2" down longer side (I only do 1/2" folds so the folds are not visible when you look at the completed card standing up) and then fold the scored piece of cardstock in the valley-mountain-valley style.

Step 3: Glue the DP to the CS and then cut out a 'window' (shape) so you can dangle your image. I try to centre the window so there's room at the top to dangle the image but still enough room at the bottom so you don't see the folded pieces of cardstock. Attach the front and back pieces of cardstock to the folded mountain and valley piece. I've included 2 pics: one showing the inside DP and the other showing the outside DP.

Step 4: Decorate the front of your card, punch a hole where you want your image to dangle, attach a jump ring to your image and then attach image to front of card.

Step 5: Glue tops of card together to form a tent when the card is in the upright position.

So in honor of the stamps that just so happen to be one of MY personal favorites, we are going to start off today's showcase with Kelly's adorable creation using Kraftin Kimmie's Yvette!

Our DT Co-Ordinator, Kim, also inked up a KK stamp this week - this is Genevieve! Kraftin Kimmie definitely has the whole 'Steampunk' thing DOWN! I LOVE IT!!!

And what about this super sweet image from C.C. Designs? Created by the owner of The Town Scrapper, Phebe created this awesome card using C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies Laying Nora! From the close up here, you can tell these are just as much fun to color as the Kraftin Kimmie stamps!

Now for some fun from The Greeting Farm!!! Featured in Dawn's AWESOME thank you card is The Greeting Farm's Handy Ian. That little hammer is the cutest embellishment EVER! It fits absolutely perfectly with Ian's little work belt. I love it!

I also had some fun with The Greeting Farm stamps. Today I featured The Greeting Farm's Geisha Anya. I had a GREAT time coloring her with Copic markers and layering the flower in her hair. What in the world did we do before the creation of dimensional pop-up stickers???

And since Phebe is running specials on her Kraftin Kimmie stamps, I thought I'd post a couple of projects I did previously for my blog.... since we're showcasing and Phebe's runnin some super hot specials.... Here's Kraftin Kimmie's Charlotte and Drucilla:

Challenge Friday and a Sad Farewell

Tutorial - Greeting Card Organizer!

This greeting card organizer tutorial is brought to you by our DT Co-Ordinator, Kim. It is so quick and easy you can whip one up in no time. They are a great way to keep your cards organized, and they make a great gift.

To start, you will need seven sheets of double-sided 12″ x12″ patterned paper. In the picture below I use a 12″ x12″ sheet of white paper to make it easier to see the folding lines.

Choose one sheet of paper to use for the front and back covers and set it aside. Take each of the other six sheets of paper and score down the middle with a stylus or bone folder–6″ from either side.

Turn each sheet and score the paper 4″ up from the bottom. I drew the score lines on my white paper so you can see where they are. Do not draw any lines on your own paper.

Next, fold each sheet of paper along the 4″ score line. I’ve drawn scribble lines on my white paper so you can see where the paper is folded.

Then, fold each sheet of paper along the 6″ score line so the part you’ve already folded is on the outside creating a pocket.

Once all six sheets of paper are folded, set these aside while you cut your covers. Take the single sheet of paper you set aside earlier and cut two pieces from it, 6″ x 8″ each. These are your front and back covers. To assemble the book, stack your folded papers together so all the open edges are facing to the left and all the folded edges are facing to the right, making sure all the pockets are at the bottom of the page.

Place your covers on the top and bottom and bind the book. I used a Bind-it-all to bind my book. You can use any binding system. Or, you can use a hole punch and bind it with book rings.

Once your book is bound, it’s time to add the calendar lists to the folder pockets. You can create your own, or email me (love_10s {at} hotmail {dot} com) and I will send you a PDF copy of the ones I made for my book (shown in the photo in this post).

Affix a calendar sheet to each pocket so you can record birthdays and anniversaries you don’t want to forget. Start adding your cards to the appropriate pockets and you’ll be organized in no time!

Happy Monday, and I hope your weekends were filled with crafty goodness! Ok beloved Town Scrappers, it's that time again.... CHALLENGE FRIDAY! Last week was great, challenging us to use scraps we already have to make a gorgeous creation. The inlinkz attachment wasn't posted until midweek, but we all had a wonderful time blog-stalking! Lets see who our random winner is for this Save A Tree challenge....

Now for the meat of THIS week's challenge... this week will be to create a masculine card for Father's Day!!! Here's a little preview from our design team here at The Town Scrapper.

It seems that Victoria Case's Big Shoes To Fill Evan was the image to have this week!! And why not, isn't it just the perfect image for Father's Day. Be sure to check out ALL the new Victoria Case Designs on the tab at the top of this blog. So we'll begin today with a design from the lovely Zoe. Here she made Big Shoes To Fill Evan POP! And is it just me, or does that tie look like real silk?!? Just SUPER!

.Next in the Big Shoes To Fill Evan line up is this adorable card from the great Kelly! What a wonderful mix of colors and the embellishments go perfectly with cute little Evan. Resistance is futile! ;)

Look what an amazing job Dawn did with Evan! Just an all around great Father's Day card and that mini wrench (that IS a wrench isn't it... I'm such a girl! LOL!) is the perfect addition.

Wow... moving on to another favorite completed by the oh-so-talented Krista. Krista used the new Victoria Case Zeke Rockstar stamp. While she did an amazing job using this image for her Father's Day card, this particular image (See Lola Rockstar that is also available) can be used a million different ways. But for the Dad who rocks... this card hits just the right note!!!

And here's our awesome leader rockin the Zeke Rockstar stamp! Great minds think alike ladies (just look at that background paper). I've just always been so interested when two different people with the same paper and stamps come up with so completely different and awesome projects.... yah, these rock!!! Well, apparently The Town Scrapper is the place to go for the "goods"! LOL!

Now, for my card. I actually made this card during last week's Save A Tree challenge (I only missed it by a little... hahahahahaha), but it's good to see that the environmental awareness for me extended beyond the challenge week!!! Pictured is Victoria Case's Big Catch Evan. EVERYTHING but the base card stock was from scraps including the aluminum foil that I re-purposed using alcohol inks. So happy environmentally friendly Father's Day folks... well, except for that commercial grade high toxicity aerosol glue I used to slap this bad boy together!!! hahahahahaha! Just kidding! :)

Ok gang, that introduces this week's challenge: Make a Father's Day themed card and link it in the "inlinkz" below by next Thursday, June 17th by 9 p.m. EST. It must be a new creation and you must link back to The Town Scrapper in your blog post. Up for grabs is Big Dreams Evan by Victoria Case (like the one used in the card below)... this really is BIG so this week's challenge should be LOTS of fun with plenty of contestants!!!

Make Your Own Background Paper - Tutorial!

Today's Tutorial is brought to you by one of our newest Scrapettes, Dawn! Thank you, Dawn for sharing your tricks!

How to make your own striped designer paper

You know sometimes you just don't have the exact paper you want to match your card? The colours might be wrong, or there's not enough.

Well, why not make your own? Here's Dawn's recipe:

Ingredients:

Watercolour paper
Permanent Black marker (even a Sharpie pen will do)
Watercolour pencils
Aqua brush or paintbrush (with water jar)

Method:
For this A5 card I cut a piece of watercolour paper approximately 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". You can cut your watercolour paper to suit whatever size or shape card you are making.
Using the black marker, draw a freehand border around the card, then stripes in varying widths. You can use a ruler, but I like the whimsical feel of freehand. Lines can be horizontal or vertical.
* I have used 3 Francheville watercolour pencils that coordinate with my stamped image, and coloured in the stripes. Make it so that you don't have 2 stripes the same colour touching.
* Use the aquabrush or paintbrush to paint water over the pencil and try not to colour outside the lines. It will curl up at the corners as the paper absorbs the water. Clean your brush by wiping on a piece of scratch paper.

You now have a gorgeous striped background for your card! Be sure to apply double sided tape around all the edges to hold it down flat.

NOTE: You don't have to make stripes. You might prefer polkadots, off-centre circles, or even a stamped image to create your background paper. You could also use your favourite white cardstock in place of the watercolour paper, and colour with your copic markers. The possibilities are endless!!! Have fun :D

WOW, WOW, WOW! This Showcase Monday will be hard to beat! The Town Scrapper's design team created some pretty incredible cards this week! Phebe herself turned out incredible work! I got to sneak a peek a couple of days ago and COULDN'T WAIT to share all these fantastic cards with everyone! I predict these stamps are going to be hard to find after today's showcase, so click on the link HERE and get your orders in quick (but not too quick! I gotta order mine! haha)!

So today we're going to start off with an awesome design by the FABULOUS Ann. This super cute card is featuring C.C. Designs' Sugarplum's Pumpkin Emma stamp. She's simply adorable, GREAT job on this one Ann!

Next in our line-up is the AWESOME Lisa! This Princess Ava from The Greeting Farm is PERFECT... she's another must-have!!! Of course ALL of them are must-haves this week. WOW (didn't I already say that???)!!!

Shopping anyone??? This very cool card is the product of the VERY COOL Maria! I can't help but think that every girl needs to get a card just like this! What do you think? This card is featuring Victoria Case stamp, Lola with Purse. Next up is the UBER-TALENTED Melanie and this INCREDIBLE card!!! The color contrast is beautiful as is the impeccable Copic coloring for this UBER-CUTE Magnolia stamp called Tilda Holding Lamb.

And from my partner in crime, fellow blog manager here at The Town Scrapper and cohort.... the SENSATIONAL ROBIN!!! This card RAWKS! The adorable image is The Greeting Farm stamp called OA-Happy Day. SWEET!

I'm going to call this next card HIGH VOLTAGE from the ELECTRIC Donna! Does this image of Victoria Case's Big Shoes To Fill Evan look real or what?!? This stamp is colored so perfectly, it looks like there really is a bright light shining on this card... I LOVE IT!!! This really is a great Father's Day card.
Oh.... last but not least... from our VERY CREATIVE LEADER (and owner of The Town Scrapper) Phebe, is this collection of AMAZING cards! Are you ready for the "WOW" overload? I'll start with Magnolia's Edwin With Tie, just a super sweet image that could be used for SO MANY occassions!

Challenge Friday: Save A Tree!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much for joining us on another challenge! It's Robin here, and this is my first post as Blog Manager/Senior Scrapette for The Town Scrapper! I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful team!

A Sad Farewell, and Sew on Your Cards!!

Hello everyone out there in Blog Land! It's Kim here, bringing you our Wednesday tip.

But, before I do that, I'd like to take a few minutes to thank three Scrapettes, who are, sadly, leaving our Design Team. Kylie, Kim, and Leah have all wowed us with their creativity, enthusiasm, kindness and warmth towards the rest of the TownScrapper family. Kylie and Kim have decided to step down from their posts, and we will miss them very much! Leah, Blog Manager Extraordinaire, is moving on to other life challenges. Ladies, you have been amazing! We appreciate all the hard work, patience and understanding you've shown , and wish you all the best with everything you do! We hope you'll continue to visit often, and keep us in the loop! We'll certainly be dropping by to visit your blogs (as should you, our dear followers!) and continue to ogle your gorgeous creations! Lots of luck, and heartfelt thanks!

This week, our trick for sewing on cards comes to you from down under! One of our Aussies, Zoe provided us with a trick for sewing on your cards! Personally, I almost always sew on my cards, but I sometimes have trouble getting a clean, square corner.

Here's what Zoe had to say:

"I am one of those people that likes things to be symetrical which is why I often have trouble with the 'messy look' style of cards. When I first began trying to sew with a machine a few months ago I would become so frustrated when my corner stitches didn't line up. So I came up with a technique of pin pricking the corners first and when I am about to reach the corner when sewing I slow down and finish the last couple manually, finally guiding the needle into the hole. I leave the needle in the hole and turn the piece around to continue to the next corner hole. I have also began adding a faint guideline to help keep my lines straight.That's my sewing tip!"

Thanks, Zoe! I will definitely be using that tip in the future!

Good Friday to you! Kim here, hoping you've all had a wonderful week, and are enjoying some gorgeous sunshine! The weather in Southwestern Ontario, Canada has been fabulously HOT HOT HOT this week, and I've been soaking up the sun, and totally LOVING it!

How to Color Match Your Embellishments

This week's tip comes from Scrapette, Maria! She has a great idea for color matching flowers, (leaves, ribbon, acrylic flowers, etc).! She keeps a stash of white flowers in different sizes on hand. When she can't find flowers to coordinate with her papers and/or colors in her image, she colors the white flowers with Copics! You can do this for leaves as well by cutting out leaves free hand or with a punch from white cardstock and then colour with Copics.

Copics are alcohol-based, so they are permanent, and mark on almost ANYTHING!

The Townscrapper Design Team Call

We are a growing Canadian stamp company carrying many popular stamp lines, (including Magnolia, CC Designs, Magnolia, My Favorite Things, Motivet, Whiff of Joy, Wags 'n Whiskers, CC Designs, The Greeting Farm, Kraftin' Kimmie, Hanna, Scrapmagasinet) along with our very own line of rubber stamps, illustrated by Victoria Case, and, of course, this blog! We are looking for Senior Design Team members, who have a passion for paper crafts, and rubber stamps ! Your coloring of stamped images should be your strength - whether it's with Copics, or watercolor, or any other medium. Previous Design Team experience is not necessary, but would be an asset. We welcome international applicants. You should have an active blog (post at least 3 times per week).

We will be taking submissions starting immediately, until all positions are filled (so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances!). We are currently expanding our design team. So, if you are ready to become a part of a growing stamping and paper crafts company, we want to hear from you!

As a senior member of our Design Team, you will be asked to:

Create 4 projects a month (using stamps carried by The Townscrapper), by participating in weekly blog challenges, and provide high-quality digital images of these projects to our Blog Managers.

You may be asked to work with digital images.
Mail two of your cards/month to Phebe at the Townscrapper, in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada
Contribute a minimum of one (papercraft) tutorial (with photos and detailed instructions) per 6-month term, and one simple"tip or trick" per month
Participate in Blog Hops, to promote release of new stamps, approximately every 2-3 months.
On a weekly basis, help promote/advertise The Townscrapper on your personal blog and to any message boards where appropriate.
Provide quality scans/photographs of all projects as well as posting any related tips/tricks
Have an active blog presence on your own personal blog (posts at least 3 times per week)
Commit to a 6-month term beginning immediately

The Boyds ROCKIN The Townscrapper Spotlight

Welcome to our 3rd and last Mother-Daughter Spotlight. We are just tickled pink to have the super talented Rockin Lori and her gorgeously sweet daughters Hannah and Ella with us this week. Prepare to be inspired by these lovely ladies.

Here's a bit about each and their wonderful creations with the exclusive Victoria Case design for The Townscrapper.

Hi My name is LORI BOYD. The most important thing I'd like you to know about me is that I love the Lord with all my heart, He is the King of my life!!! He has blessed me with a wonderful, Godly husband, Eric, who loves me just the way I am and lovingly supports my addiction to stamping, scrapping and card making!! He is my Prince Charming and I truly believe God made him just for me!

It is here in the beautiful Bluegrass State aka Kentucky...that I love, homeschool and have fun with 5 sweet little bugs who call me Mommy!! Together Eric and I have 3 - Hannah -13, Landon - 6 and Ella - 5 and feel honored to have been blessed with 2 little boys, McCoy - 3 and Jussie - 2, who needed a good and safe home. I am very thankful for my family. I am also thankful for all the wonderful, kind and caring friends that God has brought into my life through stamping, paper crafting and blogging!! Friends like all of you!! I started stamping/card making here and there 4 years ago, but have only been stamping on a regular basis for about a year. I love card making...It's like therapy to me!!!!!

I own The Pink Elephant Challenge blog. I design for Die Cuts R Us, Mo's Digital Pencil, Wild Flower Kids, Claudia and Company and Crazy 4 Challenges. And have been recently blessed to add stamp artist to my design resume with the release of my Lollipop Collection (Coming Soon to Claudia and Co.), along with my new line called The Puddle Jumpers also at Claudia and Company. I'm a Scrap Club leader, Owner and Artist for my small at home business, By LORi Designs, where I hand paint on plates, platters, tote bags, etc.
I have always enjoyed everything creative...Drawing, Quilting, Painting and Photography, just to name a few. I now have a crafting buddy in my oldest daughter, Hannah...she is my best friend and my inspiration. I thank God for her daily!!

Hi! My name is Hannah Boyd, but my family has called me Hannah Bug for as long as I can remember, which is why I called my blog Hannah Bug. I am a Christian, homeschooled daughter to my two wonderful parents, Lori and Eric. I have 3 rowdy little brothers (Landon, McCoy and Juss) and 1 sweet little sister (Ella). I love my family very much. I love to draw, paint, take pictures and make cards. My Mom lets me use just about all of her craft stuff and that makes me sooooo happy!! I was so excited and couldn't believe it when my Mom told me, that we were asked to be featured in the Mommy-Daughter Spotlight at The Townscrapper. Thank you so much Ms. Zoe and Ms. Phebe! My Mom is so proud of me because she loves card making too and we love to make cards together!!! GORGEOUS! (this would have been perfect for last week's Pink and Purple challenge, too!) Love how she's kept the card to a simple three-color scheme, making that purple just POP! Isn't that big purple flower FABBY?!

The funky burlap trim goes PERFECTLY with the grid paper, and how cute are those mini-buttons?! Tutorial: Creating TEXTURE with your Copics!

Hello Ladies! Welcome to Wednesday at The Townscrapper! We are thrilled to bring you a Copic coloring tutorial by Senior Scrapette, Ann!

Ann is teaching us how to add some texture to your colored images. Like THIS:

Here's what Ann wants us to know:

I used my Colorless Blender solution with this technique. It’s really easy to do, just takes a little practice.

Materials:
- Stamped image that has some big areas (make sure to stamp with an ink that works with Copics like Memento ink)
- Copics
- Paper (use Neenah or Bazzill simply smooth formerly Prism)
- Scrap paper (that is white) to protect your surface
- Blender solution
- A face cloth

Start by coloring your stamped image and do all your shading etc.

Make sure your have your scratch paper underneath and it must not have any other ink on it or it will bleed into your colors once the blender is mixed in.

Make sure the colors are all dry

Next - dab your cloth with blender solution and start dabbing it on your stamped image. Start with a little bit, you can always add more but once it’s on there, it’s on and the colors will change.

Keep going until you get your desired effect.

You can try this with other texture items to get different effects. Examples: paper towel, ribbon, burlap etc.

Yesterday we celebrated Mother's Day in Canada and the USA. Hope mothers everywhere enjoyed their special day!

Welcome to the second edition of The Townscrapper's Mother-Daughter Spotlight. We're so excited to introduce the very talented dynamic mother-daughter duo, Nikki and Zoe Fairbairn from the UK.

Hi, my name is Nikki and I am married to Gary and we have two beautiful daughters, Danni 5 and Zoe 10. I started crafting in December 2007 using my Cricut Expression and have been stamping since Feb 2008. I am also proud to be Lead Diva for High Hopes Rubber Stamps as well as co-run the A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog with my friend Debbie.

My favourite colouring medium is my Prisma Pencils, which I blend using sansodor but I love to give anything a try and am playing with Copics now too! I also run an online craft store, Bunny-Zoe's Crafts and co-own the stamp company, Wags 'n Whiskers. I share all my creations on my blog, Bunny-Zoe's.

Hello, my name is Zoe and I am 10 years old. I have a 5 year-old sister named Danni and two playful cats named Gemma and Bella. I like to make cards with my mum and post them on my blog, Zoe's Blog.

What a treat to have Nikki and Danni with us this week and look at their amazing creations using The Townscrapper's exclusive Victoria Case designs. Nikki has used one of her fabulous layouts to showcase Lola and has of course coloured her wonderfully. The gem in her hair and on her purse along with the sentiment are just perfect for our Lola.

Look at Zoe's smashin' creation using Rockstar Zeke. Her colouring is fabulous too and the buttons are perfect for this rockin' dude. Zoe certainly has her own flair and style but you can see that she takes after her awesome mum.

Now you know why we call these lovely ladies a dynamic duo. A special heartfelt thanks to Nikki and Zoe for joining us this week at The Townscrapper. It has been a pleasure having you with us.

Photo Storage Idea

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday! You know what that means? Time for a tip from one of our Scrapettes! This week's tip comes from our Design Team Co-Ordinator, Kim B.

What do you do with the hundreds of photos that you take? Okay...maybe thousands! lol. I scrapbook every one of them! *not*

I don't remember if I stole this idea from someone, or if I came up with it myself, but I've been doing it for years, and it works for me! I scrap the best of the photos from a vacation, or an event, and burn a CD/DVD with the rest of the photos from that event, and put it in my photo album (behind the scrapped photo(s). It saves space on your computer, too! :)

Introducing.........Mother-Daughter Spotlight #1

Good Morning Friends! Today we have something special to share with you for the month of May. For the next 3 weeks, we will celebrate Mother's Day by showcasing a special Mother-Daughter crafting duo each Monday.

Today we are showcasing a very special Mother-Daughter duo, Phebe and Catrina Meeder. Here's a picture of each with a short bio along with their wonderful creations.

Hi, I'm Phebe Meeder, proud mother of 3 children and wife to a very supportive husband. I am also the owner of The Townscrapper store, which is located in Petrolia, Ontario in Canada. I carry a wide assortment of papercrafting products, including an exclusive line of stamps designed by Victoria Case. I share my creations and tidbits of information on my blog, which is called A Little Bit of Pixie Dust. I love making cards with vibrant colours using watercolours, reading when time allows, bike riding and volunteering at the local school. I am excited to say that I am honoured and humbled to have such an amazing Design Team, called the Scrapettes. I feel blessed to be surrounded by my wonderful family, friends and all my Scrapettes.

Hi, I'm Catrina and I'm 9 years-old. I have an older sister named Cecile and a younger brother named EliJah so I'm a middle child. I was so excited when Mommy asked me to craft with her for this special post. I love to sing and am in a choir with children from 23 different schools. I also love to bowl, read books and play lots of board games. I don't like veggies but I love to keep my room nice and tidy as I go into my brother's room and make a mess there - lol. I love giving hugs and Mommy says I give the best hugs EVER.

Phebe has used Birthday Sophie, an exclusive stamp designed by the fabulous Victoria Case. Phebe has watercoloured it beautifully and added the yummy Prima flowers and heart embellies she stocks in the store. Isn't Sophie just a cutie?!

Catrina has a competitive side to her so she chose to create with Lola the Hockey Star, another image designed exclusively for The Townscrapper by Victoria Case. Catrina has watercoloured the image and created this beautiful layout to showcase it.

Tip Wednesday - MYO Paper

Happy Hump day Peeps! Hope you are having a great week and that you're enjoying Week 2 of our HOP! Scrapette Maria here to provide a very simple tip for you to try on those days you just can't find the 'perfect' designer paper for that oh so special project.

Well, haven't we all accumulated stamps that are collecting a bit of dust ~ let's just say umh a little sprinkling of dust ~ lol. Well dust them off and start creating your own paper with them. Kraft cardstock is perfect for this technique as is cardstock in an accent colour pulled from the colours in your main image.

The sky's the limit on your creativity. You could also create your own paper by embossing cardstock with your Cuttlebug or Sizzix folders and then embellishing certain textured features of the cardstock with pearls, bling, stickles or simply by highlighting certain areas by colouring them in with markers, pencils or chalk.

Tip: Anti Static Bags

Happy Hump Day! Today's Tip/Trick Wednesday is brought to you by Scrapette Maria.

Have you ever been frustrated using glitter or embossing powder and trying to get the residue off of areas where you didn't want it to be on your project? Well I have a very simple tool suggestion for you that even makes clean-up a breeze.

My favourite tool to use when glittering or embossing is a small anti-static bag. It is ideal for a number of uses and all you have to do is wipe your project with it before you place your glue or embossing medium down. Then you pour on your glitter or embossing powder and voila it only sticks to your glue. No need to wipe off glitter or powder residue from the rest of your project because there is none.

Clean-up is also a breeze with the anti-static bag whether you're using a tidy tray or a folded piece of cardstock to collect your glitter or embossing powder. Simply wipe the tray or folded cs with the bag before using it to get most of the glitter and powder back in the pot.

Puzzle challenge WINNER, and a BIG thank you!

Folks, what can we say, besides THANK YOU, for the kind words, the projects submitted, and the support for last week's Puzzle-themed Challenge. Each card linked meant $6 would be donated to the Kennedy Krieger Institute, to fund their programs for children living with Autism... We had 9 participants, plus the 15 Scrapettes' cards, which brings our subtotal to $144, which is fantastic! BUT another of our lovely Scrapettes, Janet, is making a donation, as is another friend, Susan, so the number is still climbing!

Since April is Autism Awareness Month, I will ask that anyone interested in donating for this wonderful cause PLEASE send me (Leah) an email at spazzicassi@yahoo.ca and I will be THRILLED to include your pledge as well. I will be contacting the Kennedy Krieger Institute sometime at the beginning of May with the final dollar amount and to arrange payment, so any pledges are welcomed up until the end of April. Thank you again for your generosity and for supporting our drive!

And we haven't forgotten about the CONTEST from the challenge, either! (Today's migraine, brought on by the approaching rainstorm, has hindered my ability to focus on the screen, so I do apologize for the delay!)

The projects submitted were WONDERFUL, and it was so great to see so many fun uses for puzzle pieces! A few of you even downloaded the free template - we hope you enjoy it!
